Two Culver Academies student-athletes have been recognized as the April Athletes of the Month.
CGA: Hanna Cash
Hanna Cash ’19 (St. John, Indiana) is the pitcher for the varsity softball team. Hanna helped guide the Eagles to a 9-3 record. Over the course of those 12 games, Cash maintained an impressive 1.4 earned run average; held opponents to a .211 batting average; and struck out 98 batters. In addition to her pitching efforts, she is batting over .300 with an on-base-percentage of .429.
According to coach Dawn Brockey: “Hanna is quiet leader who guides her teammates with her considerable focus and concerted work ethic.”

Hayden Schott
CMA: Hayden Schott
Hayden Schott ’18 (Newport Beach, California) was been an imposing presence at the plate for the varsity baseball team in April. In 45 plate appearances, Schott had 26 hits (12 singles, 6 doubles, 3 triples, and 4 homeruns) and 5 walks. He leads the team with 19 runs-batted-in and 19 runs scored. His extraordinary .650 batting average leads the state of Indiana.
According to head coach Kurt Christianson: “Hayden was elected captain by his teammates who have come to respect his relaxed but competitive approach. He is a charismatic leader who naturally has the ability to draw others to him.”
