Student-athletes moving to next level

Seventeen Culver Academies student-athletes officially committed to 15 universities and colleges earlier this week. The two CGA seniors and 15 CMA first-classmen will be playing lacrosse, golf, hockey, rowing, softball, and wrestling at the next level.

Five students will be attending Ivy League schools and three others will be attending service academies. They will be spread out around the country, attending school in Colorado, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana.

Those students announcing their decisions include:

Men’s lacrosse: William Clayton and Alex Simmons, University of Denver; Austin Madronic, Harvard University; Jake Stevens, Princeton University; Theodore Batson, Cornell University; Ethan Barangan, United States Military Academy; Colin Mone, United States Air Force Academy; Kyle Driscoll, Hobart College; Skyler Wilde and Ben Mathews, Furman University; and Carter Hitchcock, Denison University.

Men’s golf: Lake Genebacher, DePauw University.

Men’s rowing: Harrison Steck, Boston University, and Patrick Moore, Cornell University.

Women’s lacrosse: Jessica Turner, University of Detroit Mercy.

Men’s hockey: Jackson Pierson, University of New Hampshire.

Softball: Emily Lipsett, Dartmouth College.

Men’s wrestling: Adam Davis, United States Naval Academy.
