Open four days a week
November 8, 2019

Opening in October 2009, the Culver Academies Museum & Gift Shop is now celebrating its 10th year of operation. Located at 102 S. Main St. in downtown Culver, the museum has become a destination spot for tourists of all ages, as well as local schoolchildren and service clubs.

The bulk of the visitors, of course, are the students, faculty, staff, and alumni representing the boarding school and Culver Summer Schools & Camps. The facility, which has since expanded to include an additional building to house the archives, chronicles the Academies’ 125 years.

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday during the school year. Special tours are available upon request. People can call (574) 842-7815 or email to schedule a visit, inquire about donating an item of Culver history, or ask a question.

The following video offers a look at the genesis of the museum from its inception to today. You can also follow the museum on the Culver Academies History Facebook page.
