On the job since 1936

A full “on-the-job” introduction to Culver Academies for Head of Schools Jim Power would not be complete without a stop at the office of Mrs. Elisabeth Davis.

Mrs. Davis has served under nine administrations prior to Dr. Power. She started her Culver tenure in 1936, the same year Jesse Owens won four gold medals at the Berlin Olympic Games and Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected to a second term in office. Gen. Leigh Gignilliat was superintendent.

She took time to share some words of wisdom with Dr. Power during his visit earlier this week. Have YOU stopped in to greet Culver’s longest-serving employee lately?
