The fifth annual Max Move will be conducted Saturday, April 18, starting at 9 a.m. The event encourages everyone who participates to move around Culver’s Lake Maxinkuckee at their own pace. People may run, walk fast, or stroll around the lake.
This year’s Max Move will support the Culver Boys & Girls Club through Culver Connecting Points program. Connecting Points brings the Culver Academies faculty, staff, and students together with the faculty, staff, and students at Culver Community High School, members of the Culver community, parents and alumni together to help a good cause. The Ron Rubin School for the Entrepreneur is donating $5,000 to sponsor Max Move, which will go to the Culver Boys & Girls Club.
The walk starts and finishes at the Naval Building on the Culver Academies campus. There is no charge but donations will be accepted on behalf of the club. People are asked to arrive around 8:45 a.m. to register. For those unable to complete the course, a chase vehicle will be available to take them back to the Logansport Gate. There will also be three support and gear (SAG) stops along the route. Parking is available at the hockey rink or around The Oval near the flagpoles.
