The Culver Military Academy football team will be moving up to Class 4-A for the next two seasons.
The Indiana High School Athletic Association announced its new classification system on Wednesday for boys and girls basketball, football, boys and girls soccer, and volleyball. The classification period is for the two years (2017-18 and 2018-19).
This fall will also be the first year for the reclassification of boys and girls soccer. The IHSAA has created three classes but CMA and CGA will remain in Class 2-A. No sectional information has been announced, but the soccer teams will see major changes since both Plymouth and Warsaw are moving up one class. Those two schools have shared tournament hosting duties for the past few years.
Both basketball teams and volleyball remain in Class 3-A. Sectional information is expected to be released in May. Classifications for baseball and softball are expected in a few days.
Track and field, cross country, wrestling, tennis, and swimming and diving will remain single class tournaments for both boys and girls.
