The Culver Military Academy Prep hockey team will be putting its No. 1 ranking on the line at the Tier-I 18U National Championships this weekend in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The Eagles will begin play at 5:45 p.m. (EDT) Thursday against the Tampa Scorpions.

The team advanced to Nationals after winning the Mid-Am District tournament in Pittsburgh on March 11. Assigned to the Olympic Division, CMA will also play Belle Tire at 5:45 p.m., Friday, and CarShield at 2:45 p.m., Saturday.

All of Culver’s pool play games will be played in rink 2 of the Ice Line, 700 Lawrence Drive, West Chester. The games will be livestreamed on HockeyTV.com, which is a pay-per-view service.

Making up the rest of the 16-team field are:

  • USA Division: Mid-Fairfield (Conn.) Stars, the Eastern Mass Senators, Shattuck-St. Mary’s, and Anaheim Jr. Ducks.
  • NHL Division: Cape Cod Whalers, CCYHA (Conn.) Selects, Dallas Starts Elite, and the PAL (N.Y.) Islanders.
  • Liberty Division: Yale Bulldogs National, New Jersey Avalanche, Sioux Falls Jr. Stampede, and Chicago Mission.

Tickets are available at the Ice Line Rinks box office. All tournament passes are available. Winners and runners-up in each division will advance to the elimination rounds on Sunday and Monday. The championship game will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
