November 30, 2016

This weekend’s DanceVision Winter Concert will feature 11 individual and group performances, including Charlotte Van Nortwick’s Honors in Dance presentation of Judgement Day. Nortwick ’17, of Chicago, has choreographed and will do a solo performance, which is set to the song by Stealth.

The shows will be Saturday (Dec. 3) at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday (Dec. 4) at 2:30 p.m.

The numbers will include two traditional Chinese dances performed by Hanmu Zhang ’20 (Beijing) and  one choreographed by Artist in Residence Nick Pupillo of Visceral Dance Chicago. Several numbers have also been choreographed by directors Cathy Duke and Emily Smith.

Duke also collaborated with dancers Tegan Smith ’18 (Dhahran, Saudi Arabia), Mary Kroger ’19 (West Chester, Ohio), Katherine Ives ’19 (Charlotte, N.C.), Luisa Cano ’16 (San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico), Isabella Sullivan ’17 (Anchorage, Alaska), and Van Nortwick on a number. The six students also share choreography credit for another one.

Both shows are free and open to the public.
