The Culver Academies Campus Store has rebooted its online presence and is now live at www.culver.org/shop. The new online store carries over 200 items, including clothing and accessories, banners, blankets, coffee and travel mugs, and glasses.
The new online presence is one of several changes taking place, retail manager Kari Brumback said. The Campus Store will also begin a new relationship with The Ron Rubin School for the Entrepreneur program, sharing the “Eagle Outfitters” name with the Honors Program. In addition, when students and parents return to campus, they will find only regulation recreation (reg rec) and uniform items available at the Uniform Department, while all specialty items will now be housed at the campus store and on-line.
The store will also be operating a special pop-up shop at selected athletic events, she said, starting with football games this fall.
While sharing the Eagle Outfitters name with The Rubin School’s honors program, the student-run business will maintain its current website since it involves custom printing. The class specializes in printing custom apparel for senior service projects and student organization fundraisers. Students take the clothing from the concept phase through to the finished product. The profit margin on the custom orders is donated back to the correlating non-profit organization.
The class also has its own line of products with the profits funding a scholarship for a future student of Culver Academies. Once more details are worked out, Brumback said, they hope there will be opportunities for the class to offer items through the Campus Store.
