Hargraves wins national epee title
United States Military Academy Cadet Marvin Hargraves captured the men’s epee title at the National Collegiate Club Championships held at Michigan State University earlier this month. Hargraves is a 2010 Culver Military Academy graduate.
Hargraves’ 15-8 win over the returning champion from Northwestern was West Point Fencing’s first national title in the weapon of epee. The epee team finished third overall. West Point fencers accumulated 21 medals and two national titles (epee and sabre) at the championships in East Lansing, Mich.
Barnes named ‘Distinguished Senior’
Katie Barnes ’09 received the “Distinguished Senior in Student Leadership” award from St. Olaf College recently in recognition of her accomplishments as a coordinator for the student organization GLOW! (Gay, Lesbian Or Whatever!), along with her other on- and off-campus achievements. She is the daughter of Director of Academic Advising Cory Barnes and Humanities instructor Mitch Barnes. Brescacin finishes spring practice
Northern Illinois wide receiver Juwan Brescacin ’11 capped off spring football practice with a great performance in the Huskie Bowl on April 20. The 6-foot-4, 219-pound sophomore finished with three catches for 120 yards. More
Ben Teaney ’07 continues to play rugby for the Hurt Houston Club. Blake Hunnewell ’10 is playing rugby at the United State Military Academy club.
