The dedication of the Woodcraft Centennial Amphitheater is one of the highlights of the 2013 Culver Summer Schools & Camps’ Homecoming celebration this weekend (July 19-21). The dedication ceremony will be conducted at 4:15 p.m. Friday.

Alumni and parents can still register in person this weekend. Two registration sites are available: the Great Hall at Sally Port on campus and the Orthwein Dining Hall lounge at Woodcraft Camp.

Col. Don Hume will also be honored with a brief ceremony at the amphitheater at 5:30 p.m. Friday. He is celebrating his 50th year of service at Culver Summer Schools & Camps. The Woodcraft Council Fire will be conducted at 9 p.m. Friday at the Council Ring.

Saturday morning events will include several units from Culver Summer Schools & Camps participating in the Culver Lake Fest Parade, starting in downtown Culver at 10 a.m.; and the annual Culver Summer Schools Alumni Association meeting in the Eilleen Dicke Theatre of Eppley Auditorium at 11:30 a.m.

The Naval Band concert will be conducted in Eppley Auditorium at 12:30 p.m. As always, Naval Band alumni are welcome to join in and play. The Woodcraft Orchestra and Choir will play on the Orthwein Dining Hall lawn at 12:45 p.m.
