The Culver Pipes & Drums will travel to the United States Military Academy to participate with several other bands in a military tattoo on Sunday, April 26. The Culver Pipes & Drums includes eight Culver Academies students, as well as pipers and drummers from throughout northern Indiana.
The 33rd Annual West Point Military Tattoo will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Trophy Point Amphitheater at West Point. Culver is scheduled to perform at 4:30 p.m. The highlight will be the retreat ceremony at 6 p.m. The all-day concert is free and was established to honor the heritage and traditions of Celtic and military music. This is the second time the Culver Pipes and Drums has performed at the event.
Students making the trip to West Point are Alexandra Jeffirs ’15 (Argos, Ind.), Elma ’15 and Hallie Rauch ’16 (Evansville, Ind.), Uchechukwa Nnate ’18 (Schererville, Ind.), Katherine Polega ’17 (Dhahran, Saudi Arabia), Calvin Petrucelli ’18 (Plymouth, Ind.), Caleb Ricketts ’17 (Rochester, Ind.), and Charles Mahoney ’18 (Cumming, Ga.).
