Largest meet in Indiana

The biggest cross country meet in Indiana will take place Saturday when the 37th Culver Academies Cross Country Invitational starts at 8:30 a.m.

A total of 3,400 runners are entered in one of the 12 different high school or middle school races. Many of the top programs in the Midwest will be competing with an anticipated 70 high schools and 50 middle schools represented.

The first race begins at 8:40 a.m. with the Middle School Boys/Girls Combined reserve race. Highlights include the Girls Varsity Elite at 11:40 a.m. and the Boys Varsity Elite at 12:05 p.m. The high school Varsity Closed (small school) races start at 9:40 a.m. for the girls and 10:10 a.m. for the boys. The Open (large school) races are slated for 10:40 for the girls and 11:10 for the boys.
