A new Culver Academies video focusing on people “who love what they do and do what they love” has already set a viewership record after just two days. The “Culver Happy” video, featuring faculty and staff members from all 29 departments, has been viewed more than 6,000 times since being posted to the Academies’ YouTube channel Friday afternoon.

The video showcases faculty and staff across the community shimmying and lip-syncing to the upbeat hit song “Happy” by Pharrell Williams. The video was suggested by math instructor Kalista Richardson and filmed and edited by Videographer Lew Kopp ’71 and directed by Director of Strategic Communications William Hargraves ’77.

The five-minute clip debuted at the Spring Parents Weekend all-school meeting. It features almost 500 faculty and staff members. The different dance segments were shot at various campus locations, many which are behind-the-scenes to visitors.

The video was produced to show students and parents that everyone, from Academic Affairs to Wellness, “love what they do, and do what they love,” Hargraves said, and they hope to inspire students to carry on with that same passion in their daily routines.

Join in the fun and share some happiness with your family and friends – Culver Happy.
