The Culver Academies Quizbowl team finished 45th out of 132 teams at the National History Bowl Championship in Washington, D.C., falling one question short of advancing to the top 32. The competition was conducted April 26-27.

Muriel Weathers ’15 (Galveston, Texas) and Adam Freymiller ’13 (Culver) also competed in the individual National History Bee Championship. Weathers placed 44th out of 160 in the junior varsity division, and Freymiller finished one point short of the Top 32 playoffs in the varsity level. He was 34th in a field of 175 competitors.

Other team members making the trip were Clare Cunningham ’15 (Lindenhurst, Ill.) and John Van Duyn ’14 (Wheaton, Ill.). The Eagles improved their overall record for the season to 76-30 and are now preparing for the Quizbowl Midwest and National Championships.
