“Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.”
April 15, 2015

Each year the Special Olympics athletes from Marshall and Starke counties visit Culver Academies to participate in the first round of state competition. The athletes of all ages and abilities train and practice for these events through March and early April, then travel to the Academies to participate in the events staged in the Steinbrenner Recreation Center and on the lawn beside the Memorial Chapel. Dozens of Culver student volunteers serve as the meet organizers, athlete chaperones, and judges for the day. This year’s competition was held on Sunday, April 12. Culver photos/Jan Garrison
