Culver Military Academy advanced six wrestlers, including one champion, through the Plymouth sectional on Saturday, Feb. 3. Adam Davis ’18 (Granger, Ind.) won an 8-3 decision over Plymouth’s Zane DeVault to claim the 113-pound title.

Three others advanced to the championship match. Myles Krintz ’18 (Monticello, Ind.) lost an 11-4 decision to Triston Rodriguez of Culver Community at 138 pounds; Noah Trevino ’15 (Gary, Ind.) dropped a 5-0 decision to Justin Schroeder of Rochester at 145 pounds; and Simon Griffith ’16 (Culver) lost by pin to Andrew Brock of Warsaw at the 4:37 mark of his match.

In the consolation round, Steven Muthart ’16 (Nappanee, Ind.) finished third with a 5-0 decision over Jeremy Lee of Warsaw and Paul Foersch ’15 (Culver) lost a 1-0 decision to Jacob LaFree of Plymouth to finish fourth. The top four wrestlers in each weight class advance to the Rochester Regional on Feb. 10. CMA finished fifth out of 10 teams.
