The Johns Hopkins Blue Jays have the No. 1 recruiting class amongst NCAA D1 men’s lacrosse programs, and former Culver Military Academy middie Joel Tinney ’14 (left) is part of the reason why, according to Inside Lacrosse. Tinney joins Boys’ Latin’s Shack Stanwick (center) and McDonough’s Brinton Valis on the cover of the magazine’s special recruiting issue. Tinney was ranked as the No. 2 player in the country, behind only Stanwick. CMA finished second in the national polls behind Boys’ Latin.
Tinney is one of four former CMA players ranked in the magazine’s Power 100 freshman class. Long stick middie Matt Neufeldt (Maryland) is ranked 13th, attackman Riley Thompson (Princeton) is ranked 59th, and middie/attackman Pierre Byrne (Notre Dame) is slotted at 70th.
