Through mid-summer, the Culver Academies Museum and Gift Shop, 102 S. Main Street, Culver, will continue to celebrate the centennial of two defining events in Culver’s storied past.

Featured is the Black Horse Troop’s participation in the 1913 presidential inauguration, which would become one of the Academies’ most recognizable and lauded activities. Also on special exhibition is the remarkable story of Culver’s life-saving efforts in the great flood of 1913 in Logansport, Indiana, and the subsequent donation of the iconic Logansport Gate by the grateful city.

Rare, vintage photographs, one-of-a-kind artifacts, and an interactive video enhance the exhibits, which join a number of new features at the museum. Open hours are Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call 574-842-8842 or email museum@culver.org for more information.
