Culver Military Academy’s Karch Bachman ’15 (Wolcottville, Ind.) was invited to participate in the NHL Scouting Combine, which is being held in Buffalo, N.Y., June 1-6. He is one of 120 top draft prospects invited. According to the NHL Central Scouting’s final rankings, Bachman is listed 87th among American skaters.
Bachman, a left wing, played on the CMA Prep Hockey teams that reached the U18 national tournament the past two years. The draft will be June 26 and 27. If drafted, Bachman would become the first CMA hockey player to be selected right after graduating. He is one of just three high school players to be invited to the combine. Bachman has verbally committed to play his college hockey at Miami University (Ohio).
