Culver Academies wrestler Kayla Miracle ’14 (Bloomington, Ind.) has been named to the ASICS Girls All-American Team for the third straight year. Miracle was named in the light division (100-121 pounds). Just 14 girls from across the nation were recognized on the 2013 first team.
Miracle is one of three girls to receive the honor for the third straight year. She won 2013 USA Wrestling Junior Folkstyle Nationals in Oklahoma earlier this year. She won a silver medal at the Cadet World championships and took gold in the Junior National tournament last summer.
Miracle is the first female to qualify for the Indiana High School Athletic Association’s state meet. She did that her sophomore year at 106 pounds. She has qualified for the semistate round all three years. Last season, she moved up to 126 pounds. More on the All-America Team.
